The fifth New South Wales Regional Dentistry Scholarship has been awarded to Jarrod Brice of Euston in the south-west of the State.
The scholarship is sponsored by the Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams who will provide $4,800 of his own funds to assist Jarrod in his studies.
Jarrod has enrolled in the 1st year of the Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Adelaide.
As part of his scholarship, Jarrod will receive mentoring support from experienced dental practitioner Dr. Christopher Cole who has also been a mentor to the four previous scholarship recipients Olivia Jom, Jessica Powell, Alayne White and Amelia Judson.
Senator Williams has congratulated Jarrod and said he looks forward to him one day providing a much-needed dental service in a rural and regional area.
The New South Wales Regional Dentistry Scholarship is administered by the National Rural Health Alliance which oversees the application process and supports the recipient where needed throughout the year.
