The Senate inquiry into liquidators, administrators and the role of ASIC has decided to hold hearings in Canberra, Newcastle and Adelaide, according to the Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams.

INVERELL LANDCARE FUNDING CONFUSION RESOLVED

Funding issues surrounding Inverell Landcare have been clarified following questions raised by The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams during a Senate Estimates hearing.

Senator Williams had questioned officials from the Climate Change division in October about the low budget allocated to Inverell Landcare by the Border Rivers- Gwydir Catchment Management Authority.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission needs to take a good look at its practices and the way it handles complaints, according to The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams.Senator Williams has grilled ASIC officials during an Economics Estimates hearing, telling them people are fed up with being fobbed off when they lodge complaints about banks and liquidators.
